Services / Emergency repair

Water in the basement? Start here.

Call us, or leave your number and we will call you. First, a few things to do while you wait.

Stay safe first

  1. If water is near outlets, appliances or the electrical panel, stay out of the basement and call your electric utility or an electrician.
  2. If anyone is in danger, call 911.
  3. Move anything valuable up off the floor if it is safe to do so.
  4. If the sump pump is not running, check that it is plugged in and that the breaker has not tripped, but only if the area is dry and safe.

What we handle

  • Sump pumps that stopped, run nonstop or cannot keep up
  • Discharge lines that are blocked, frozen or draining in the wrong place
  • Water coming in at the floor or wall during heavy rain
  • Drainage that has failed and needs to be replaced

What happens when you call

We ask what you are seeing, tell you what we can do and when, and say so plainly if something is outside what we do.

Common questions

What should I do first if water is coming in?

Stay out of the water if outlets, appliances or the electrical panel are close. If anyone is in danger, call 911. Then call us at the number on this page.

My sump pump stopped working. Can you help?

Call us. We will ask what you are seeing, whether the pump has power and whether water is rising, and tell you what we can do.

Can you fix the cause, or only the symptom?

Our goal is the cause. Pumping out a basement fixes today. A drain system or a repaired pump fixes the next storm.
